Yokohama Super Advan

First modification to any car is changing the alloys to something you like. I have always found the Yokohama Super Advans to be a perfect fit on the FTO. The 3 Spoke design is just uncomparable. Through the life of my FTO i will only use Super Advans.

For those who don't know Yokohama actually made 3 designs of the Super Advan, although information is very limited now a days on the SAR3 GEN 1 and GEN 2. Super Advan Version 2's how ever are still available for purchase from JAPAN, but will set you back over 2k for 4 brand new ones.

Super Advan SAR3 Version 1
Super Advan GEN 2
Super Advan Version 2
Can't afford a Version 2 and the only available Super Advans that were available more commonly were the SAR3 Version 1.

Advantages:
  • Light weight drift wheels
  • 3 Spoke design, allows more air flow around the brakes, also allows easier access to clean it
  • Center cap and large wheel nut design (anti-theft proof)
Disadvantages:
  • Very rare to find, especially a complete alloy with center cap and nut
  • Deep spoke design, fairly hard to clean the inner spoke due to the depth of curve.
