My ever first recognition and impression of 3M Carbon Fibre wrap was from a Japanese FTO website, where the person wrapped the bottom lower centre console with it. It looked absolutely stunning and real too. Till recently when 3M wrapping became more common in UK, i decided to give it ago myself.
During my trip to Hong Kong back in April 2011 i went to an automotive styling shop which sold the authentic famous Di-Noc 3M Carbon Fibre. When this was first introduced on the market i didnt get any due to the price. But now a days its reasonably priced and well worth it to give it that carbon look.

My Attempt at Carbon Wrapping
As you can see from the pictures, my first attempt wasn't too bad, but you can see some of the imperfection bits :(
Carbon Cup Holders
Just a note for others who are using 3M carbon wrapping. Do let the adhesive sink in for a while before placing it back into the car. After completing the cup holders i immediately placed it back into the car and thought it'd be alright. 3 months later and into summer. The heat trapped within the car starting to reduce the adhesive stick, and eventually just peeled. So i took the cup holders off and have put it away for a while.
In the mean time i had some spare Di-Noc 3M left, so i wrapped my glove compartment handle ^__^ really like the little finish there.
